… PROTECTING THE SPECIES
The zoo takes part in european breeding programs, supports non-profit organisations that work in the natural habitats, and contribute to raising awareness to biodiversity conservation with the public.
… SUPPORTING ANIMAL WELFARE
The team pays particularly attention to the physiological and behavioural needs of the animals. The zoo is a member of the French Association of Zoos and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria.
… PARTICIPATING IN RESEARCH
The zoo is an active member of several scientific research programs on animal biology which aim to « know better, understand better, protect better ».
… SHARING WITH THE PUBLIC
The team creates activities and information panels to raise awareness and ensure that visitors respect the animals and understand the threats they face in their natural habitats as well as mankind’s role in their conservation.
